So much time and consideration went into this design. Inspired by Karl Blossfeldt, who specialized in macrophotography of plants, flowers and seed heads, resulting in strikingly modern and beautiful images, Sophie closely studies the rhythmic forms of the remarkable seed pods hanging on the Hura Crepitans plant.
The flower shape is hand-carved from turquoise by an expert artisan, using an age-old, wood-carving technique. Because it is a stone of wholeness, Turquoise is beneficial to the overall well-being and soundness of one’s mood and emotions. It is balancing and includes a sense of serenity and peace.
All our gemstones are natural, and products are handcrafted, therefore there may be a slight variation in color and weight of the product.
This ring is made to order; please allow six to eight weeks for its creation. Should you need it sooner, please contact us at email@example.com with your request.

This piece is made from recycled gold, this means the gold is reclaimed from previously owned jewellery, which is then melted and newly refined. This way we limit the impact of our production on our planet and its communities.

Above all else, we value our community most, our customers, the craftsmen that generously lend us their skill, and everyone else who is involved in this journey. We build lasting relationships, we act with kindness and respect, and value quality of life. All the craftsmen and artisans we work with are compensated fairly.
With every piece we sell we openly share the breakdown of these compensations. We only work with people who align with our values of sourcing and crafting and make sure these ethics are lived throughout our supply chain.
Where possible we produce locally, but we also highly value our craftsmen who work from a distance. They possess skills that are rare to find and are often tied to remote communities. We take pride in that our collaborations have a direct positive impact on them and their community.

*As a small business with purpose in an industry that is hazy and foggy when it comes to its transparency, we want to lead by example and are committed to bringing transparency to the jewelry industry. Within our working costs, we include the outflow of all the little things that are happening behind the scenes of Sophie Joanne with our incredibly talented partners when it comes to marketing, design, photoshoots, sampling, etc. In addition, it is important to note that our price breakdown only applies when we sell directly through our website. By selling our jewelry through third parties, an agent fee has to be applied, and our overall proceeds are reduced.
Once your order is complete, we will start creating your piece. With each design made-to-order, please allow 6-8 weeks for us to create your unique Sophie Joanne piece. We will always contact you to let you know the timeline. We offer free worldwide insured shipping.
