Bubble Key Pendant Rhodochrosite Lapis Peridot

The Bubble Key Pendant by Sophie Joanne is a tribute to the iconic key necklace worn by Jane Birkin in the 70s. This exquisite piece reimagines the elegance of Birkin's style, infusing it with the unique artistry of Sophie Joanne.

The key pendant is hand-carved from rhodochrosite and Lapis. Rhodochrosite can boost self-esteem and confidence. It encourages a positive attitude towards oneself and helps to dispel feelings of inadequacy. The lapis gemstone brings wisdom and awareness; it’s a powerful stone broadening your understanding and helps with self-expression and discovering your truest self.

At its heart, The pendant is set with a brilliant-cut peridot, which symbolizes positive energy, joy, and happiness.

The pendant can be worn on a long flat link chain for a casual, modern effect or paired with our signature choker for a more casual look.

This piece is handmade from 14-karat recycled gold in our Atelier in AmsterdamAll gemstones are natural and hand carved, therefore there may be a slight variation in color, shape, and weight of the product.

Ethically made

All our jewelry is handmade in our Amsterdam atelier. Most of our carvings are hand-carved in our atelier and in Germany. Above all else, we value our community most, our customers, the craftsmen that generously lend us their skill, and everyone else who is involved in this journey. We build lasting relationships, we act with kindness and respect, and value quality of life. All the craftsmen and artisans we work with are compensated fairly.

We only work with people who align with our values of sourcing and crafting and make sure these ethics are lived throughout our supply chain. Where possible we produce locally, but we also highly value our craftsmen who work from a distance. They possess skills that are rare to find and are often tied to remote communities. We take pride in that our collaborations have a direct positive impact on them and their community.

Price transparency

When we first started our business, we aimed to be transparent about our jewelry pricing by providing a price breakdown for each piece. However, due to the constant fluctuations in gold and gemstone prices, it has become challenging to keep detailed cost breakdowns updated on our website.

As a small business with purpose in an industry that is hazy and foggy when it comes to its transparency, we want to lead by example and are committed to bringing transparency to the jewelry industry. If you're interested in receiving a full breakdown of our pricing and cost structure, we’d be happy to email you all the details. Please feel free to contact us at contact@sophiejoanne.com for more information.
