The flower on this iconic Sophie Joanne ring is hand-carved from green amethyst by an expert artisan, using an age-old, wood-carving technique. Green amethyst strengthens peace and calm, and brings generosity, growth, health, happiness, harmony, stability, and fertility.
The medium size flower ring is a new size that we are working with. We combine the small flower carving with a big center stone more gold work around it. The ring is set with a big brilliant-cut orange fire opal, which symbolizes the awakening of passion and creativity.
The shape of the flower was inspired by the works of Hilma af Klint(1862) and Andy Warhol(1928), resembling a forget-me-not.
This piece is handmade from 14-karat recycled gold in our Atelier in Amsterdam. All gemstones are natural and hand carved, therefore there may be a slight variation in color, shape, and weight of the product.
If your size is not in stock, production lead time is roughly 2-4 weeks, however, if you require rush delivery please contact us at contact@sophiejoanne.com to inquire about in-stock inventory. This ring can also be made in white or rose gold, contact us for more information.

Above all else, we value our community most, our customers, the craftsmen that generously lend us their skill, and everyone else who is involved in this journey. We build lasting relationships, we act with kindness and respect, and value quality of life. All the craftsmen and artisans we work with are compensated fairly.
With every piece we sell we openly share the breakdown of these compensations. We only work with people who align with our values of sourcing and crafting and make sure these ethics are lived throughout our supply chain.
Where possible we produce locally, but we also highly value our craftsmen who work from a distance. They possess skills that are rare to find and are often tied to remote communities. We take pride in that our collaborations have a direct positive impact on them and their community.
*As a small business with purpose in an industry that is hazy and foggy when it comes to its transparency, we want to lead by example and are committed to bringing transparency to the jewelry industry. Within our working costs, we include the outflow of all the little things that are happening behind the scenes of Sophie Joanne with our incredibly talented partners when it comes to marketing, design, photoshoots, sampling, etc. In addition, it is important to note that our price breakdown only applies when we sell directly through our website. By selling our jewelry through third parties, an agent fee has to be applied, and our overall proceeds are reduced.
Once your order is complete, we will start creating your piece. Sometimes we have a little stock but mostly each design is made-to-order. If so please allow 2-5 weeks for us to create your unique Sophie Joanne piece. We will always contact you to inform you about the timeline. Please be assured as we offer free worldwide insured shipping by DHL. Almost every piece is made-to-order. Due to the handmade nature of our pieces, we do not offer refunds at this time, but you are welcome to either return pieces for store credit or exchange pieces for an item of equal or lesser value within 7 days of purchase.
