Drawing inspiration from Andy Warhol's iconic 1964 flower series, the Island Flower is hand-carved in Germany from high-quality Garnet. Garnet is believed to revitalize, purify, and balance energy, bringing serenity or passion as appropriate. Historically, garnet has been used as a talisman for protection, symbolizing safe travel and warding off negative energies.
The Flower ring is set with a brilliant-cut tourmaline, which symbolizes joy, emotional healing, and love.
This piece is handmade from 14-karat recycled gold in our Atelier in Amsterdam. All gemstones are natural and hand carved, therefore there may be a slight variation in color, shape, and weight of the product.

Garnet
This gemstone family is one of the most versatile in the mineral kingdom, Garnet has been valued since ancient times. Garnets can be found in almost every color, though they are most recognized for their rich red hues. Red garnet is the most well-known and widely recognized with its rich, deep red hues. It associated with passion, energy, and revitalization. Major sources of red garnets include Brazil, Madagascar and India.

Tourmaline
Pink tourmaline ranges from pale, light pink to deep reddish-pink hues. When the pink shades are intense and slightly reddish, often it is called “rubellite”, the most valuable form of pink tourmaline. Found in mostly Brazil, Afghanistan, Madagascar, pink tourmaline is associated with love, compassion, and emotional healing.

Recycled Gold
This piece is made from recycled gold, which means the gold is reclaimed from previously owned jewellery, which is then melted and newly refined. This way we limit the impact of our production on our planet and its communities.

All our jewelry is handmade in our Amsterdam atelier. Most of our carvings are hand-carved in our atelier and in Germany. Once your order is complete, we will start creating your piece. Sometimes we have a little stock but mostly each design is made-to-order. If so please allow 3-5 weeks for us to create your unique Sophie Joanne piece. We will always contact you to inform you about the timeline. Please be assured as we offer free worldwide insured shipping by DHL. Almost every piece is made-to-order. Due to the handmade nature of our pieces, we do not offer refunds at this time, but you are welcome to either return pieces for store credit or exchange pieces for an item of equal or lesser value within 7 days of purchase.
