We present to you an entirely new floral design: The Lagoon Flower. Drawing inspiration from the work of artist Maruja Mallo, the Hibiscus Flower is hand-carved in Germany from high-quality Pink Opal. Pink opal is believed to ground the emotional body and is excellent for alleviating worry and stress.
The pendant is set with an orange fire opal, which symbolizes the awakening of passion and creativity.
This piece is handmade from 14-karat recycled gold in our Atelier in Amsterdam. All gemstones are natural and hand carved, therefore there may be a slight variation in color, shape, and weight of the product.
If this piece is not in stock, production lead time is roughly 3-5 weeks, however, if you require rush delivery please contact us at contact@sophiejoanne.com to inquire about in-stock inventory. This earring can also be made in white or rose gold, contact us for more information.
Pink Opal
Pink opal is often referred to as the ‘stone of hope’. Its soft hues, range from baby pink to rich rose tones. Mostly sourced from Peru and Australia, pink opal is ideal for those seeking both beauty and a sense of inner peace.

Fire Opal
Known for their vibrant colors, a fire opal ranges from yellow, orange, to red hues. Unlike traditional opals, fire opals captivate with their vibrant body color and minimal play-of-color. We source ours in Mexico, where they are known for mining the best fire opals. Fire opal is said to bring more energy, passion, and a zest for life.

Recycled Gold
This piece is made from recycled gold, this means the gold is reclaimed from previously owned jewellery, which is then melted and newly refined. This way we limit the impact of our production on our planet and its communities.

All our jewelry is handmade in our Amsterdam atelier. Most of our carvings are hand-carved in our atelier and in Germany. Above all else, we value our community most, our customers, the craftsmen that generously lend us their skill, and everyone else who is involved in this journey. We build lasting relationships, we act with kindness and respect, and value quality of life. All the craftsmen and artisans we work with are compensated fairly.
We only work with people who align with our values of sourcing and crafting and make sure these ethics are lived throughout our supply chain. Where possible we produce locally, but we also highly value our craftsmen who work from a distance. They possess skills that are rare to find and are often tied to remote communities. We take pride in that our collaborations have a direct positive impact on them and their community.
When we first started our business, we aimed to be transparent about our jewelry pricing by providing a price breakdown for each piece. However, due to the constant fluctuations in gold and gemstone prices, it has become challenging to keep detailed cost breakdowns updated on our website.
As a small business with purpose in an industry that is hazy and foggy when it comes to its transparency, we want to lead by example and are committed to bringing transparency to the jewelry industry. If you're interested in receiving a full breakdown of our pricing and cost structure, we’d be happy to email you all the details. Please feel free to contact us at contact@sophiejoanne.com for more information.
Once your order is complete, we will start creating your piece. Sometimes we have a little stock but mostly each design is made-to-order. If so please allow 3-5 weeks for us to create your unique Sophie Joanne piece. We will always contact you to inform you about the timeline.

Almost every piece is made-to-order. Due to the handmade nature of our pieces, we do not offer refunds at this time, but you are welcome to either return pieces for store credit or exchange pieces for an item of equal or lesser value within 7 days of purchase.
