The shell is hand-carved from blue opal by an expert artisan, using an age-old, wood-carving technique. Dark blue Opal is good for creativity, communication, and the courage to speak your mind.
The shell pendant is set with a brilliant-cut aquamarine. Aquamarine helps move towards closure, allowing space for peace and tranquillity.
This piece is handmade from 14-karat recycled gold in our Atelier in Amsterdam. All gemstones are natural and hand carved, therefore there may be a slight variation in color, shape, and weight of the product.

Blue Opal
From light blue to deeper blue hues, blue opal is valued for its calming and serene qualities. Mined in Peru, home to the world’s best blue opals. This stone is enhancing communication, has calming properties and helps reducing stress and anxiety.

Aquamarine
Aquamarine is known for its tranquil blue to blue-green hues. It’s a variety of the mineral beryl. The name aquamarine comes from the Latin words “aqua” (water) and “marina” (of the sea). The stone is takes after its color and is associated with the sea and believed to have a calming and soothing energy. The quality best aquamarine stones come from Brazil, Madagascar and Pakistan.

This piece is made from recycled gold, which means the gold is reclaimed from previously owned jewellery, which is then melted and newly refined. This way we limit the impact of our production on our planet and its communities.

Once your order is complete, we will start creating your piece. Sometimes we have a little stock but mostly each design is made-to-order. If so please allow 3-5 weeks for us to create your unique Sophie Joanne piece. We will always contact you to inform you about the timeline.
